Outlaws blank Morton in 8FL opener

MORTON — Deon Morris ran for two touchdowns and Dan Eck threw for another as the Capital City Outlaws blanked host Morton 18-0 Sunday in the 8-Man Football League season opener.
Quarterback Eck hooked up with Erik Kahrliker in the first quarter on a 32-yard scoring pass. Later in the period, Morris scored from 25 yards out to make it 12-0.
Morris, who rushed 13 times for 123 yards, scored again on an 18-yard in the third period.
Leading the Outlaws defense was Jae Russell with nine solo tackles and six sacks. Jeff
Thomas added six tackles.
The Outlaws’ home opener is 2 p.m. next Sunday, at Knight’s Action Park.
