Aubrey Collins recovered a fumble in the end zone Sunday to give the Capital City Outlaws a 24-18 overtime win over Macoupin County in an 8FL league game at Rotary Park.
Quarterback Dan Eck scored on a 1-yard plunge with about 2 minutes left in regulation to tie the game at 18-all.
It was Eck's second TD of the game. He opened the game's scoring with a 1-yard sneak in the first period to give the Outlaws a 6-0 lead.
Josh Allotey also scored for Capital City on a 38-yard kickoff return in the second quarter.
Brett Walker led the Outlaws in rushing with 50 yards on 12 carries. Nate Bottom had 40 yards on 11 attempts. Defensively, Allotey had two interceptions and James Whitelock had three sacks.
