PEKIN — Deon Morris’ 50-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter was one of many highlights for the Capital City Outlaws in a 49-14 victory over the Tazewell Tigers in 8-Man Football League play.

Morris had seven carries for 63 yards. Dan Eck completed 11-of-16 passes for 153 yards and threw five touchdowns. Erik Kahrliker caught five passes for 97 yards and four touchdowns.

John Cameron had 18 tackles with seven for a loss and four sacks. Jarrod Powell had five tackles and an interception.

The 4-1 Tigers, who entered the game averaging 55 points, scored all 14 of their points in the opening quarter.

The Outlaws (5-0) will play next at Metamora April 19.
