Semi-professional Football Club
What is semi-pro football?
There are over four-hundred teams in the United States who refer to themselves as semi-pro or minor league or senior amateur in over forty different leagues. These players usually have played high-school or college ball, and they want to continue playing after their eligibility has been exhausted. The vast majority of these players do not get paid to play ... they truly compete for the love of the game. This involves the players purchasing their own equipment and usually paying for their own transportation/lodging to/from games.
A few of these players may receive an opportunity to play in the Arena Football League, the National Football League, or one of the many other paid leagues
